About Us

Founded by Sabrina at just 17, EnviroMentoring was born from a passion to make environmental learning accessible, affordable, and fun for kids across Australia. From humble beginnings holding holiday workshops to inspiring thousands of young eco-warriors through engaging DIY eco-activity kits, our mission remains clear: empower the next generation to create a brighter, more sustainable future.

The Beginning - Our Story

Hey there! I’m Sabrina, the founder of EnviroMentoring.

Picture this: It’s 2022 and I’d just graduated high school. I jumped straight into work at an OSHC service (Outside School Hours Care) as an educator, looking after and running activities with primary school students before school, after school and during the school holidays.

This was a job I adored, but there was one problem I had. During the school holidays, each day had a theme and activities to go with it. This could be anything from technology days to jumping castles to crafting and more. Although we’d always try to have at least one eco-themed day each school holidays, I realised there weren’t enough eco activities on offer, but also, that this was something I could change.

Growing Faster Than Weeds

I started by running vacation care days, teaching students how to garden and care for plants and animals, how worms and compost improve the soil, and how to make seed surprises and ochre. They loved doing the activities and at that point I realised there was potential for me to turn it into a business, so I decided to get this show on the road and expand into other schools.

The kicker? At 17, I didn’t have any business experience. But with a scholarship at university and supportive mentors, family and friends around me I dug down, started working, and within no time the business seed had started to sprout. Fast forward to 2024 and I had to hire 3 staff to help run incursions at 30 OSHC services over 20 days during the Summer school holidays. Our busiest day? 3 different locations! The little business seed was now starting to grow some leaves and I couldn’t have been more excited.

2025 - The Beginning of Chapter 2

Then came the next challenge: people from Melbourne and beyond wanted us to run workshops, but we couldn’t be everywhere at once and it was just too far to travel. At the time, we also set the goal of teaching 100,000 children by 2030 and I knew we needed to make some adjustments to reach it.

The solution? DIY kits that could be run remotely with video explanations. They’re available in bulk for educators and teachers at schools, OSHC services, kindergartens, scouts, environmental clubs and more so students can apply the theory through hands-on activities. They’re also available to buy as an educational and super fun gift for a younger cousin, sibling, child or friend. Most importantly, we know it will help inspire the next generation of climate scientists, activists and eco-warriors.

Thank you for your help to get EnviroMentoring to where it’s at today and for contributing to a brighter, more sustainable tomorrow.

- With love, Sabrina and the EnviroMentoring team
