With our DIY Frog Lodge Kit, you’ll be helping to conserve green tree frog habitat while using your creativity and engineering skills to make sure it doesn’t fall over! This habitat conservation project is really important as 20% of all Australian frogs are endangered, mostly due to Chytrid fungus. Not only will you be helping to save frog species from extinction, but this is an interactive and engaging, hands-on activity to build a habitat and hopefully see some frogs in the lodge soon!
With this kit, kids will: Learn why frogs are important!
- Understand why they are endangered, but also what they can do to help
- Discover how a frog uses a frog lodge and where they should place their own
- Create their very own frog lodge!
This frog lodge is designed as a habitat for Australia’s native tree frog species like the green tree frog, dwarf tree frog, eastern sedge frog, striped marsh frog, graceful tree frog and bleating tree frogs in particular, as they can climb up and rest in the pipes, escaping from cane toads which can't make it that high.
By the end of this kit, you'll know a lot more about frogs but you'll also have taken action to protect them - purchase your DIY Frog Lodge today!
